Helapuri Institute of Technology and Science, was established under the aegis of Sri Gayathri Educational Society, Sattupally, in the year 2009-10. The college is affiliated to JNTU-K. The college is located in a serene environment, far away from rush and gush of urban life, surrounded by green fields and highly favorable for study environment. The college is located on the Eluru-Jangareddygudem highway and is well connected road transport system, and is about 5km from Eluru.
DIGITAL LIBRARY: It contains numerous volumes and titles of books, journals and e-learning materials. The Digital Library has all the digital learning material of courses developed by NPTEL (a collaboration effort of IITs). The College is a member of DELNET, which will access to thousands of e-journals in various disciplines.
COMPUTER CENTRE –The college main computer centre is separately designed to have all the computers with latest configurations. This is apart from another 15 computer labs related to the departments
LABORATORIES – All the laboratories are well established with the state-of-the-art equipment, updating and upgrading time and again to meet the needs of the contemporary world.
E-CLASS ROOMS – the class rooms are well furnished and ventilated. One digital classroom (or e-class room) is arranged for each department.
TRANSPORTATION – Presently five buses are running from different destinations, namely Poolla, Dwaraka Tirumala, Pedakadimi, Hanuman Junction and in local routes. Shortly five more buses ply from other routes as the services demand.
COMMUNICATION & SOFT SKILLS - The methodology of teaching is interactive and learner-centred. The facilitators keep the participants’ needs in mind and use a wide variety of topics and activities in imparting requisite skills.
CAFETERIA – Canteen facility is provided for food arrangement of day-scholars and visitors. It will be opened from 8AM to 6PM
FIRST AID/ MEDICAL FACILITY – The college has a consultant Medical Doctor in close vicinity available 24 x 7.
24 x 7 WiFi – Today’s world is totally connected through internet, whether it be academics or otherwise. Recognizing this fact, 24 x 7 WiFi is made available in the campus of 10Mbps speed.
Hostel Facility
The ambience of the hostels rooms is very conducive for good health and encouragement to the academics of the student. It has good ventilated rooms.. The mess provides healthy and hygienic food.
