Guntur Engineering College was established in the year 2008 with sole aim of providing quality higher technical education to rural sector through its dedicated and committed staff. GEC, approved by AICTE - New Delhi & affiliated to JNTUK, started its functioning in the year 2008 itself with 239 students to pursue B.Tech in EEE, ECE, CSE and IT branches (an intake of 60 students in each).
Class Rooms: The College provides modern teaching facilities and buildings represented through modern architecture, giving the precinct a dynamic and vibrant atmosphere.
Library: The college Library spread over 6000 sq.mts is a place of constant student activity.The Library of GEC houses 15200 volumes, 3250 Titles, 40 National & Inter National Journals, DELNET online Journals with IESTC Engineering package which can be used from any desktop or Laptop with the Campus. Labs: Laboratory Facilities: Apart from computer centers, each department has its own discipline based laboratories for study and research.

College Canteen:The College Canteen is a large spacious area, with a view of greenery all around, and a variety of refreshments and meals available. It tends to be the most popular place on campus, not only for physical refreshment but also for student bonding, discussions and even work on assignments and projects.
Mineral Water (RO) Plant: College has its own mineral water (RO) plant in the college campus. Entire college is supplied with the mineral water from the plant.
