This is the only institution providing education to the hearing impaired from pre-school to university education in Asian Countries. This institute has started B.Sc (ASLP) 4 years Rehabilitation professional course during the academic year 2002-03.
This course has been, approved by the state Government and Recognised by Rehabilitation Council of India, New Delhi. (A Statutory body under the ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India.) and is also affiliated to Osmania University, Hyderabad. In order to produce Audiologists, cum speech & language pathologists more in number as there is a huge demand in India as well as in USA, U.K, Canada, Australia and Gulf Countries. The Special teachers training course for the teachers of the deaf (i.e., B.Ed. Spl.Edn. (HI)) is also started during the academic year 2005-2006. to meet the demand of the special teachers for the deaf.
COMPUTER & INTERNET FACILITY: All the Students are accessible to use computer and internet facility in preparing project work or the work pertaining to the academic programme in the computer lab. We have sufficient computers in our computer lab with qualified teaching staff. A special coaching classes will be arranged for computer learners in the college premises.
LIBRARY: There is a library in the Institute with collection of good number of books and journals of Indian and other country publishers for the benefit of the students. Books borrowing facility is also provided for the students. This institute is also providing facility to students to use the British Library, Hyderabad. N.I.M.H Library ,Secunderabad. There is free internet facility in the library for the students.
SPORTS & CULTURAL ACTIVITY: We encourage the students to involve in sports & cultural activities. Our students take part in inter college and state level competitions in different indoor & Outdoor games from time to time.
Hostel Facility
We have good hostel accommodation separately for boys & girls where the students can feel home away from home. The hostel will be looked after by the qualified warden. All the students will be accessible for medical care from time to time. More over, we conduct study hours in conducive environment at the hostel premises every day during evening hours.
Scholarship Facility
SC., ST., B.C & O.C. disabled students are eligible to apply for scholarship. They have to submit the latest Income Certificate, Caste Certificate & Ration Card in original, issued by M.R.O. of respective Mandal to submit the same to the state Govt. authority for obtaining Scholarship.
We have employment bureau in the college premises. As and when we get opportunity we help our Hearing Handicapped students in getting better placement in Govt. & Non Govt. organisations and even in abroad. We also provide coaching to our students to take part in competitive exams like Banking, R.R.B., A.P.P.S.C., etc.
