Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Advanced Studies (JNIAS), Hyderabad is a Research and educational Institution established by Dr. D. Swaminadhan Research Foundation (DSRF), Hyderabad with a view to contribute in developing advanced technologies and build ‘core competence’ in specific areas. The activities of JNIAS involves: Education, Research, Training and Consultancy in certain fields of Sciences, Engineering and Technology, Management, Architecture and Planning. It aims to blossom into an Advanced Institute of education and research with a reservoir of expertise and experience in the relevant fields and the necessary capability to harness multi-disciplinary research and studies.
Studio Class: Each Studio Class size is optimum, designed for no more than 40 students. Furniture and classroom ambience is a result of careful planning. Cheerful colors, balanced lighting and careful positioning of work spaces contribute to the overall feeling of welcome. All classrooms are made for comfort and to maximize output of both students and faculty.
Library: The college has a well equipped reference library and subscribes to current national and international journals and technical periodicals in the field of Planning and Architecture. The college seeks institutional membership in other important libraries equipped with books in related areas.
Computer Lab: A fully distributed computing environment based on clusters of workstations and PC’s provides the staff and students ready access to computing resources, services software and applications. The environment is tailored to the specific teaching/learning needs of the department. Full access is provided to email, the Internet, departmental Intranets and other online sources of services and information through leased line Internet connectivity of 10 mbps.
Lecture Hall: JNIAS-SPA is equipped with modern lecture halls with latest features of audio-visual equipment to enhance the entire learning experience.
