The institute was established with the prime object to cater the needs of economically and educationally backward and downtrodden masses of this region. With this object, Marathwada Shikshan Prasarak Mandal runs 124 Primary Schools, Middle Schools, Colleges, Hostels and Professional Institutes such as Pharmacy, Law, Computer, and IT etc

Library: Rich with 39362 books, research journals, and periodicals. The library with two spacious reading rooms is a rallying point for talented and hard working students. Internet facility is also available in central library.
 
 Hostel Facility
The hostel is constructed under UGC scheme by College. As the SSM College is the sister college of the Science College, the facility of the hostel is extended to the students of the Science college also.
