Vivekanand College, Kolhapur which was established in 1964 is known as one of the best quality colleges in Maharashtra. About 7000 students are enrolled every year for various programmes. Besides the conventional programmes like B.A., B.Com.and B.Sc., the college offers the professional programmes like B.B.A., B.C.A., B.C.S., B.Sc. (Biotechnology) and M. B. A. The college also provides opportunity to undertake degrees like B.Lib.,M.Lib. and M.B.A. of YCMOU, Nashik.
Auditorium : The college has an independent auditorium named after the founder of the Sanstha, Dr. Bapuji Salunkhe. This auditorium is mainly used to conduct cultural activities as well as Seminars, Workshops, Conferences, etc.
Library: The college has a well-equipped, spacious and partially computerized central library building. It has an independent building having 8800 sq. ft. area.
Canteen :There is a spacious college canteen having separate sections for the boys, girls and faculties.
Health Centre : The college has its health centre.
Hostel Facility
Shrimati Sudhiladevi Salunkhe Girls Hostel located in the college campus. There are two separate three storey building with 64 well furnished rooms, where accommodated 200 girls.
