Dr. Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil earnestly desired to establish a law college in addition to Arts, Science, Commerce and Education Colleges .However, this could not happen in the lifetime of Bhaurao Patil. After his sad demise in 1959, Ismailsaheb Mulla, Honorary Secretary of Rayat Shikshan Sanstha took great efforts and received permission from the University to start a Law College in Satara. He selected able and knowledgeable members from the District Bar Association of Satara as honorary lecturers and established this college on 15-5-1968.The senior and learned advocates from the Satara District Bar Association offered their voluntary honorary services to the college and this co-operation continues tothis date Initially, the college was housed in the building of Maharaja Sayajirao Vidyalaya and Mahatma Phule Adhyapak Vidyalaya of the Sanstha. Thereafter, it was shifted to Rayat Shikshan Sanstha's main building on the first floor.
The new spacious building of Ismailsaheb Mulla college consists of 10 Classrooms,digital class room,1 computer lab, a Moot Court Hall, a Reading Room, a Staff Room, a Library Hall, a legal aid clinic, Women's Redressal cell, Principal’s cabin ,office,pantry,gymkhana room,ladies common room and canteen etc.
