Doodhsakahr Shikshan Prasarak Manadal under the visionary leadership and generous initial financial support from the mother institute, Doodhganga Vedganga Sahkari Sakhar Karkhana resulted into establishment of our college in the year 1990.Thus the college started with faculties of Arts and Science.Well equipped with infrastructure facilities along with resourceful faculties, the college has established its academic repute among the colleges under the jurisdiction of Shivaji University, Kolhapur. Till date nearly 25000 graduates have passed through the college which serves under diverse fields in the society.
LIBRARY:Library is situated on the first floor with all necessary facilities. There are 22350 books in the library and well attached with furnished study room.
LABORATORIES:Well equipped 12 spacious Science laboratories for the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Mathematics, Zoology, Statistics and Botany.
COMPUTER LAB: ICT equipped 02 computer labs with latest configuration 60 PC’s
ENGLISH LANGUAGE LAB:Well equipped language lab contains 12 terminals.
LADIES ROOM:The ladies room is located at the ground floor and by the side of staffroom. It is big and specious equipped with proper seating arrangement, Notice board, Mirrors, separate pure water facility and 4 toilets and 2 bathrooms.
STAFF-ROOM:Big specious and well furnished staff-room is located at the ground floor with capacity of 60 staff and is separately facilitated with telephone, Drinking water, separate toilets and bathroom.
GYMNASIUM HALL:2 specious Gymnasium Halls are built separately beside the main building.
* Hall 1 – used for indoor games and has a separate cabin for physical director.
* Hall 2 – well equipped with Gymnasium tools.
CANTEEN:The canteen is located at the north of college building, separately built and equipped with good seating arrangement and drinking water facility. It provides necessary tea, snacks and eatable items.
DRINKING WATER:Pure Drinking water is being provided to the students. The water purifier and cooler has been situated at the left corner of the main corridor of the building. The separate water tank is being situated at the right corner of the open corridor so as the students, players can become fresh.
BOTANICAL GARDEN:The botanical Garden is developed in the North-east side of college building. It contains useful medicinal plants, variety of flowering and other plants useful for study of Botany. It is surrounded by wire compound. The separate water tank is being situated to supply the water to the garden.
PARKING:Two-wheeler and four-wheeler parking area is made available by the college.
PLAY GROUND:The big playground is being facilitates by the college for various games including. Cricket, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Volley-ball etc.
Hostel Facility
The Ladies Hostel is located in the midst of Bidri Sugar factory colony, which is on the way to college. The ladies hostel building is O shaped, big and specious measuring 1000sqmt It consists of 12 big, well furnished room with capacity of 5 bed each.
