The Department of Commerce was established in 1985 as a teaching and research department of the University of Kerala. Our vision is to impart "Quality Business Education that Focuses on: Empowerment Through Learning and Enrichment Through Research". Within a span of 30 years the Department could establish itself as a centre of excellence with focus on education, research, consultancy and extension services.The Department offers M.Com, M.Phil and Doctoral programmes leading to Ph.D. Major achievements of the Department include induction of the Department to Special Assistance Programme (SAP) of the UGC and successful completion of several research projects. The inputs received through industry interaction are made use of in the teaching learning processes. The teaching learning processes of the Department have found excellent placement and research opportunities for our students.
