Santaji Mahavidyalaya, run by Shri Santaji Shikshan Vikas Sanstha, Nagpur was founded in June, 1971 and included in the list of University Grants Commission under 2F in Jan. 1977. The college has been accredited and assessed by the National Assesment and Accreditation Council, Bangalore twice. The college has been awarded “A” Grade by the NAAC. At junior college level there are Arts, Commerce and Science streams. At senior college there are Arts, Commerce, Commerce (Computer Application) Science and Management streams. There are five undergraduate programmes, three Post Graduate programmes and a post graduate diploma course.
High Power Generator: The college has installed a high power generator to tackle the problem of load shedding. No hindrance to work in the laboratories, Classrooms and administrative building is faced when there is no current.
Fire extinguisher: Each laboratory is provided with the fire extinguisher.
Language Lab: Language lab has Ten Computers, projector with other accessories and software.
Laboratories: The College has well equipped laboratories for departments
Central Library: The college has a well furnished library with 23,277 books and 4150 reference books ,mazines and journals for students and teachers.
Drinking Water: The main source of water supply is Water Supply from NMC. There are 5 connections. Four water tanks with 1110 litres capacity and one water filter with a capacity of 500 litres. Rain water harvesting facility is also available.
Seminar halls: The College has a well furnished seminar hall. The students of all departments are promoted for active involvement in seminars and Group Discussion. It is common for all the faculties.
Botanical Garden: College has a Botanical Garden elevated in different areas of the College campus. We have planted medicinal plants as well as ornamental plants for the campus beautification purpose The plants available in the garden are routinely being used for performing practicals and practical demonstrations to UG of Botany Department.
Canteen: College has fully established canteen. Every day quality food is prepared for students and staff members. The canteen has all types of facilities with basic vegetarian food available for breakfast. Environment in and around canteen is hygienic & healthy.
