Janata Mahavidyalaya, established in 1958, is one of the oldest colleges in the Vidharba region of Maharashtra and the first college in the combined Chandrapur and Gadchiroli districts.Founded by Shri.Shrihari Jiwatode Guruji, B.Sc.( Agri.), an Ex. Library: An excellent collection of books on almost all topics under the sun await the knowledge-seekers. It is an indispensable place for true learning and growth in all directions.The culture of reading is assiduously promoted. Standard journals, periodicals and magazines are subscribed to. Presently, we have a collection of more than 44944 books for senior wing and 15 journals.
There are one single-storey and three multi-storey buildings for classrooms.All the laboratories are well-equipped, and they constantly grow with new advancements in science and technology.
The large auditorium is a multi-purpose hall. The health club and computer center are other attractions.There are good facilities for indoor and outdoor games.
