Gandhi Academy of Technology & Engineering began its journey in the year 2009 at Berhampur, the Silk City of Odisha. The Institute is managed by "Tarini Educational Trust". GATE, an Institute, is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, recognized by Govt. of Odisha and affiliated to Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Odisha. The Institute aspires to play a vital role in providing Quality Technical Education in the young minds with a spirit of dedication and excellence. Under the eminent leadership of Dr.Satya Prakash Panda, Chairman, Dr.Chandra Dhwaj Panda, Secretary and Mr.Manoj Kumar Palo, Vice-Chairman, GGI, Berhampur has created a milestone after their successful journey of GIET, Gunupur, GITA, Bhubaneswar and so many. A blend of latest Technologies, Skilled Professionals with dedicated Faculties having a passion for knowledge represents GATE at the highest level of Education.
Library: The Digital Central Library of GATE is located in the Administrative Block of the institution.The Library has also been procuring Magazines, Local & National Newspapers to keep the students and staff abreast of the information in and around the world. Besides our library is a member of DELNET which provides another alternative to the staff and the students regarding the access to the books and articles they may need that are not available here.

The College provides separate accommodation for girl and boy Students. These are located within the College Campus in calm and quiet surroundings favorable for studies. Hostels provide Healthy study atmosphere, Common Rooms provided with Newspaper, TV, Magazines & Indoor games, Spacious and Hygienic Dining Hall, and Regular medical facility. All the Hostels are controlled by Superintendents and Asst. Superintendents, who are members of teaching faculty, to ensure discipline and provide motivation for studies.
