The College originally started functioning in Ananda Bhawan, the Town Hall of Anandapur, in the month of July, 1964 with a strength of only 90 students and 6 lecturers. After about 3 years the College was finally shifted to the present site where a number of buildings have now come up.
Common Room: The College provides two common rooms, one for boys and the other for girls students of the college.
Library: The College has a library as old as the institution itself. With all natural motive of farming urges of learning it has already developed an inbuilt capacity of holding diversified study materials.

Scholarship Facility
Students are advised to enquire about the different types of scholarships, stipends and other types of financial help awarded by the Government and the College from the concerned Officer-in-Charge and Accounts Section of the College.
