The Vesaja Patel College, Hemgir (Duduka) Sundargarh took its birth in 1982 and has been named after the great philanthropist Sri Vesaja Patel of village Kundukela.
The college is situated on the bank of river ‘Basundhara’, a place of scenic beauty, surrounded with hills, mountains, dense forest and thirty five kilometers from the district headquarters.
Four staff quarters also exist within the premises of the college.
The college has its own water source in the form of a deep bore well with submersible pumping system and over head water storage available round the clock.
