Rajiv Lochan Ayurved Medical College has been started by Yuva Utthan Samiti (under Firm’s & Society Registration Act 1973) in 2002. Rajiv Lochan Ayurved Medical College got honour to be a first private Ayurved Medical College in Chhattisgarh. Rajiv Lochan Ayurved Medical College is situated at Chandkhuri, Dist Durg which is 10 km away from Durg railway station, on Durg-Gundardehi state highway. LIBRARY: The well illuminated & ventilated library of the college is set up on 2100 square feet area having collection of more than 11,000 books of different writers concerned with Ayurveda and Modern Science and other related topics.
RASA-SHASTRA DEPARTMENT AND PHARMACY :- The RASA-SHASTRA and Clinical Pharmacology Department (or Pharmacology Research Department) is spread across 3000 square feet area. The process involved in preparing more than 70 different types of Ayurvedic medicines is taught to the students in the “Rajiv Lochan Pharmacy”. Avaleh, Churna, Guggul, Vati, Oils etc are prepared here for use in the hospital.
Quality Control Room: Trained staff, equipments, instruments are available here in accordance to the standards of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act.
HOSPITAL: The state of the art hospital building is spread across 2275 square meters area which includes Out Patients Department (OPD); Kayachikitsa (Medicine); Shalya (Surgery); Shalakya (ENT); Prasuti (Gynaecology); Balrog (Pediatrics); Swasthyavrit Vibhag, Panchkarma (Therapy Centre), etc. Other salient features of the hospital include 60-bed In Patients Department (IPD); fully equipped operation theatre; labour room; dressing room, etc. Surgical treatment of Piles, Fistula, Hernia, Hydrocele, etc is done here. X-Rays, Sonography and ECG machines are available in the Radiology Department. Panchkarma Therapy Centre caters facilities of Snehan, Swedan, Nasya, Vaman, Virechan, Shirodhara, Raktamokshan, Basti, etc. Complete Physiotherapy treatment is provided in the Physiotherapy center of the hospital.
CENTRAL LABORATORY: A central laboratory has been established in a 1000 square feet building adjacent to the Hospital. Clinical investigations and examinations involving Hematology; Serology; Microbiology, Biochemistry and urine analysis are done here under the expert supervision of Pathologists.
Hostel Facility
Fully furnished 50-bed girl’s hostel and 25-bed boy’s hostel are separately extablished in the college premises. The hostel canteen caters best quality and delicious pure vegetarian cuisines.
