Higher education started as a government college in the rural area of Rajnandgaon (Chhattisgarh) district on August 15, 1989. About 30 km from Rajnandgaon This college was established in distant "Gaurav Gram" with a respected Ghumka. Initially this college started in two rooms of Government Higher Secondary School. Dr. Ganesh Khare, the senior literary teacher of the Sanskritic culture and Hindi literature, took over the responsibility of the Principal of the establishment. The Government allotted 15.89 acres of land for the college on Harduwa road where huge building was constructed. In 2007, Honorable Dr. Raman Singh Ji, the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, inaugurated the college building. Started with the Faculty of Arts and Commerce. This college is entering the 25th year of its establishment.
