Dept. of Paramedical and Health Sciences prepares learners for jobs that are based in manual or practical activities, traditionally non-academic and totally related to a specific trade that is the tenure, in which the learner participates & learns. It is sometimes referred to as technical education, as the learner directly develops expertise in a particular group of techniques or technology.
Paramedical and health education might be classified as teaching procedural knowledge. This may contrast with declarative knowledge as used in education in a usually broader scientific field, which might concentrate on theory and abstract conceptual knowledge, characteristic of tertiary education.
As a part of the Paramedical & Health Sciences Curriculum, Dept. of Paramedical & Health Sciences incorporates rich training schedule for the students of Degree of Paramedical & Health Sciences (B.Sc.) in their respective specialized departments such as Operation Theatre Assistance, Radiology, Opthalmology, Emergency Medical Services, Dialysis technology and others in which, every week students spend atleast 6 hours of training in the hospital under practicing physicians/surgeons and learn all theoretical knowledge through practice. thereby orienting them towards a work culture and learn working ethics that they will be a part of in the future. Dept. of Paramedical & Health Sciences believes on practice based learning for students co-aligning with the vision of the MHRD and AICTE under NSQF. Institute also provides guidance of different diagnostic tools used in hospitals and detailed information regarding instruments used in hospitals.
