Mahila Shilp Kala Bhawan was founded in 1965 by the first President of India His Excellency Dr. Rajendra Prasad with a view to imparting sewing, Weaving and other Crafts to the downtrodden women of the society. The main objective was to train them for job opportunities and to enable them for earning their livelihood. Along with these crafts the traditional education was provided to the girl students so that they can also obtain the requisite degrees. Later on the “Sansthan” (Institution) was divided into 3 parts – Middle School, High School and Degree College. The College come in shape by the great efforts of Late Shanta Devi on 9th Aug. 1965.
library : The student and staffs have unlimited access to a wealth of information pound in resources like books, journals and E-library etc. The library offers specious seating arrangements and a calm ambiance for learning.The Library has open access system. All students and staff have library access cards, ensures the smooth issue and return of books. For quick access of books, each book is bar coded. The library is well equipped with computer.
Canteen: Mahila Shilp Kala Bhawan College Canteen is a small spacious area, with a view of greenery all around, and a variety of refreshments available.
Gymnsium: The college has established small gymnsium with internal source to cater to the needs of gym. Though it is not upto mark and needs to be upgraded. The college plans to write UGC, State Government and affiliating university for financial support to upgrade gym.
