Thakur Prasad Singh College is one of the premier institution of higher education in India. It is a comstituent unit of Magadh University, Bodh Gaya. The idea of this college was conceived by Tejwanti Kunawar, the wife of Thakur Prasad Singh, a land lord of Barahia, Munger. She was a visionary and philanthropic lady who lais the foundation of this college with generous donation of land in 1960 with the sole aim providing quality education to redidents in and around backward non-descript area of Patliputra. She continued nurturing this college all through her life. The founder Principal, Prof. Kuteshwar prasad Sinha (Pandui, Jehanabad) devoted his entire life in translating her dream into reality. The college got constituted in 1977 by Magadh University, Bodh Gaya.
