Supreme Knowledge Foundation Group of Institutions, a dream that was seen by many in the year 2009 has now emerged as one of the leading institutions for engineering as well as management education in the eastern part of the country. Within a span of only 7 years, the institution has undergone both horizontal and a vertical growth. Supreme Knowledge Foundation Group of Institutions i.e. SKFGI by which the institution is known colloquially is now offering B. Tech in 5 disciplines viz. Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering and MBA with four specializations.
Moreover, three departments namely Computer Science and Engineering Department, Electronics and Communication Engineering Department and Electrical Engineering Department have started M. Tech courses.
Central library: The Library is situated in the heart of the academic complex of the Institute, in the Ground Floor of the main building. The Library has a collection of over 2703 titles and over 63934 volumes. Besides the printed journals, the Library subscribes to several on-line IEEE, DELNET, IET, WILEY and other journals and provides access to IEEE online database.
Computer center: The Computer Laboratory of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering provides the ‘Computer Centre’ to the Institute. The Centre, in turn, provides the Internet facilities of 3Mbps bandwidth. The Wi-Fi service, provided through six powerful antennas, is available for all the students and teachers of the Institute
Language laboratory: Students have access to the Language Laboratory which is equipped with the facilities as per the norms of WBUT, which help students develop their skill in expressing their ideas. IIT- STEP, Kharagpur has further updated the Laboratory to make it one of the best of its kind in the country. In this Laboratory, students go through intensive practice in listening, reading; speaking and writing, (LRSW skills) which help them enhance their interpersonal, business, and technical communication skills.
Workshop: The first taste of hands on experience of essentials of manufacturing is obtained here. The workshop with a built up space of 2421 sq ft. is able to accommodate more than 100 students. The Infrastructure facilities of Workshop have been fortified to cater to the needs of the present strength of the students.
Drawing hall: In this laboratory various type of detailed drawings are prepared of different structural component. The Infrastructure facilities of the Drawing& Graphics Lab has been fortified to cater to the needs of the present strength of the students. The Drawing and Graphics Lab can accommodate more than 35 students at a time with each student working on individual workstations. The students are taught with outmost care by experienced Faculty and Technical Assistants.
