Gargi Memorial Institute of Technology (GMIT), an engineering institute in West Bengal was started in 2011 by Mallabhum Human Resource Development Trust (MHRDT) in memory of Lt. Gargi Mukherjee (Banerjee).
Barely in its 5th year, GMIT has been ranked 8th amongst all emerging engineering colleges in India because of its educational excellence and professional infrastructural facilities.
Wi-Fi Campus: Campus is having high speed internet facility. The institute has a Wi-Fi facility in the college campus for the student and faculty members to avail internet connection at any place in the college campus, hostel & faculty rooms.
Computer Lab: The centralized computer lab at GMIT boasts of 325 computers with the latest version of operating system provides students internet and intranet facilities.

Library: The heart of the college, the library at GMIT is totally digitalized with almost 1030 titles and 15727 volumes of book. Boasting of a spacious stacking room, reference section and reading hall, the college has an amazing collection of text and reference book.
Canteen: The canteen is a pleasant clamor of voices, opinions and fun over food. The eatables served in the canteen are prepared under hygienic conditions and are of good quality
Hi-tech class rooms: Lecture and Tutorial Rooms Classrooms are very spacious, airy and equipped with overhead projector and modern magnetic ceramic board. Separate tutorial rooms are also available for special classes. Model classrooms are fitted with LCD Projectors with white screen.
Seminar Hall: GMIT has 2 fully air conditioned seminar halls of 300 capacities with all the modern audio visual aids to support any seminar of national and international standard.
Gym and Sports Facilities: Our well-equipped gym offers fitness buffs an opportunity to adhere to their exercise regimes while other students have the option to participate in sports like table tennis, football and cricket.
Transportation: College own Bus service connecting Tollygunge, Jadavpur, Garia, Karunamoyee, Bypass, Kamalgaji.
