In the historic meeting held on the 20th November, 1994 at the premises of Lahowal L.P. School, on the great humble suggestion and advice from the eminent educationists, the decision was taken to open a college on the name of Lahowal College from the ensuring academic session. On 17th July, 1995 in college was formally inaugurated by the eminent educationist Dr. B.N. Bhattacharjya. Classes for 1st year H.S. Arts started on 17th July 1995 in morning hours in Lahowal Girls' High School. Later, the classes were shifted to the newly built own building which was started in 1996. It was at that point of time that the generous donation from general public, different complay's welfare scheme and non-gevernment organisations, offered heartiestly towards the collge helped to shape the present permanent building.
