The Sapekhati College was established in the year 1988 by a decision of a representative public meeting at the initiative of a few educationist of Sapekhati and the surrounding. The college is located in a rural area in Charaideo district of Assam. This primer institute since its establishment has been serving sincerely to spread educations to surrounding area. The College provides educational upliftment of a large section of students coming from the tea tribes, SC/ST, Other backward communities and from other neighboring states Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland. The college has a campus spread over 10.2 acres of land with adequate infrastructure facilities. The college offers B.A.in three years degree course through the subjects Assamese, English, Political Science, Sociology and History. In addition to this the college offers degree and certificate course under KKHSOU and DU Distance Education Study Centre.
Sports Facilities: College provided outdoor and indoor games facilities to the students including Cricket, Volleyball, Badminton etc.
Computer Facilities: Computer facilities including internet are available for the teacher and students. There are twelve Computers in the College.
Canteen: College has a Canteen within the campus run by private parties.
Library: College has a Library with a reading room for students and teachers. The Library has more than five thousand collection of books (text and reference)and subscribes to a number of daily Newspapers both regional and national.
Hostel Facility
College has a Girls Hostel situated within the College campus with the capacity of accommodating about forty boarders.
