Jorhat Kendriya Mahavidyalaya was established in the year 1981, with a view to meet the higher educational needs of a larger locality from Jorhat to Kakojan in the east and up to Neematighat in the north. A few distinguished educationist as well as social workers had taken initiative to convene a public meeting to establish this college.
Computer laboratory:The College has well equipped computer laborator ywith 30 terminal and internet facilities
Departmental Library: To add new features to the College, each and every Department has developed their respective.
Digital Classroom: The College has a few well furnished, well equipped Digital Classroom. The digital classroom also has scope for conducting webinar.
Digital Conference Hall: The College has a well furnished digital conference hall with a sitting capacity of 150 persons. Important Meetings and Session of Seminars have been conducted in the hall from time to time.
24 for hours electricity facility: The College has 24 hours electricity backup facility which provides students proper reading environment both during the College hours and also in the hostels.
Canteen & Parking Facility: The Colege has a well maintained canteen, which is kept open to serve the students. There is also facility for parking four wheelers and two wheelers in the campus.
Health care centre: The College also has a Health Care Centre in the College campus which provides necessary first aid treatment to the students during College hours.
