L.T.K.College was established on the 22nd day of Aug.1977 at the initiative of the local people at the conjoining point of Lakhimpur, Telahi and Kamalabaria Mouzas and named accordingly as L.T.K. College. The missionary zeal, uniflinching endeavor and sacrifice of some prominent local people and whole hearted devotion of some teachers and the management has brought the college to its present state of dignity. The Arts stream was brought under deficit grant-in-aid system in 1987.
Library: The library of L.T.K. College was founded at the time of the inception of the college. Initially it was housed in a spacious single room of the old Assam type college building. In the year 2005, the library was shifted to RCC office building constructed under Buniyad Scheme, Govt. of Assam. During that period, the library accommodated about 13000 books.
Biotech Hub : To popularise and awareness on Biotechnology in NE region, the department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of India invites proposal from
institute/colleges/universities of higher education of NE region offering undergraduate/post graduate courses in any branches of science for establishment of Biotech Hub under the special programme for the North Eastern State.
Digital Class Room cum Conference Hall: The college recently constructed a well equipped 'Digital Class Room cum Conference Hall' with all kinds of modern audio-visual aids with 80 separate chairs for participants and other separate and comfortable seats for dignitaries and guests.
Hostel Facility
The LTK College has two hostels viz. Girls' Hostel, and a Boys' Hostel for needy students.
Scholarship Facility
Students are awarded merit and other scholarships offered by the Govt. of Assam,
