Initially the classes of the college had started at North Lakhimpur College with a total numbers of 69 students only in the Pre-degree Classes and subsequently shifted to its permanent site in 1974. In the year 1993 the college introduced the Arts Stream to meet the growing demand of students and the public at large.
COLLEGE CANTEEN: A well maintained canteen exists in the college premises to provide fresh and quality food and snacks to students at a reasonable price.
COLLEGE BOOK STALL: The College has a Book Stall in the campus and provides Books and Stationeries to the students at concessional rates.
BOYS' AND GIRLS' COMMON ROOMS:The college has separate common rooms for boys and girls, with attached toilet.
LIBRARY: The college has excellent library facilities with substantial collection of books, periodicals, magazines, news papers, besides a number of National and International academic journals for the benefit of the students and teachers. The library has also developed E-Journal facility through INFLIBNET.
Hostel Facility
The college owns a Hostel which is situated near the college building. The students who are willing to take Hostel facility have to collect form from college office separately. Dr. D. Rajkonwar is the warden of Hostel.
Scholarship Facility
The SC/ST and OBC/MOBC students are provided scholarship by the Govt. as per provisions. Merit scholarships from “Mahabox Malchand Memorial Trust”, “Dutta Family Trust” and “Dindayal Shah Educational Trust” are also awarded annually to the students securing highest marks and position in Higher Secondary and Degree Examinations. Poor student scholarship is awarded to the needy students, reimbursement of tuition fee.
