Lakhipur college was established on the 10th of August, 1981 at lakhipur in the District of Goalpara, Assam. The deserted site where the college stands today, spreads over an area of more than 20 acres of land amid charming greenish surroundings. The college stsrted its functioning at Gopinath Bordoloi hall, Lakhipur Town. The birth of the college was the result of the untiring effort of some eminent social workers, intellectual and educationalists.
Library: The college library is situated within the Academic Campus of the college. There are more than 10,000 volumes covering all subjects, including books of general knowledge, periodicals and reference.
