Tezpur Law College, established in 1972 is one of the best institutes of Legal Education in Assam.Tezpur Law College has been conceived as a legal floor for those seeking to enter the legal fraternity. The college is approved by the Bar Council of India and recognized by as well as permanently affiliated to the Gauhati University.
Library : The college has a library of its own. The library is meant mainly for the use and benefit of the students and faculty members alike. The library is manned by a qualified librarian with the help of a library Assistant. The library has about 6000 text and reference books with an attached reading room.
Moot court: To organize artificial court for the law students is called moot court. It is a kind of a debate on the specific case decided by the court or specific subject or issue or an imaginary case prepared for this purpose. It differs from a real court. It does not exercise the judicial power of the State. It has no statutory power to decide the disputes between the parties. However, moot court is a very important exercise for a law student.
Legal Aid Clinic:The Clinic has been organized to extend possible help to the members of the marginalized society as the guide line is prescribed by the National Legal Services Authority (Legal Aid Clinic) Regulations, 2011.
