Mumtaz College was upgraded to Degree Level in 1974 by its parent body 'Anjuman Islahul Muslimeen, Lucknow' with a view to provide higher education to members of the Muslim minority, in line with the doctrines of Islamic faith. It was also the aim of the founding body to extend the facilities of higher education to the youth of other communities especially to Dalits and Backward people.
Library: Book bank facility is also available for poor and needy students.Students of the College are allowed to read newspapers, magazines and books in the reading room of the Library during their vacant periods.
Hostel Facility
Hostel accommodation is available for girl students.
