Iswar Saran Degree College, a premier constituent college of the University of Allahabad came into existence in 1970 under the aegis of Harijan Sewak Sangh founded by late Munshi Iswar Saran, a close associate of Mahatma Gandhi. The bonding and association of late Munshi Ji with Mahatma Gandhi was so strong that he visited the campus twice which accorded the heritage significance to our institution. Later on, as a tribute to its founder, the society was renamed as Iswar Saran Ashram.
Library: The college has a separate Library building having nearly fifty thousand books, regular subscription of ninety-three international and national journals, twenty-one magazines and daily newspapers. It caters the needs of more than 5,000 students at undergraduate and postgraduate level. The Library services are fully automated. The Library has reading halls at the ground floor.
Multimedia Center: The importance and use of technology in the classroom are self-explanatory terms; the implementation comes with usage of hi-tech teaching aids and modern tools for easier and faster understanding of educational concepts.
