Narangwal (Ldh.) is run by Patna Sahib Education Trust which was set up by Late S. Joginder Singh Grewal(PP Sahib) on Jan 25, 1966 under inspiration from Sant Baba Gurdit Singh Ji, Kutia Sahib Wale. The foundation stone of the college was laid by Sant Baba Harbans Singh Ji on April 24,1966. For the last forty years, this college has been spreading education rural areas in science (Non-medical) and Humanities upto degree classes from the current session (2006-07). The College has started Post-graduate classes in Punjabi and mathematics, B.PED (One year course), B.PED (four year course), C.PED (two year course), M.PED (two year course), PGDCA and Computer Science (elective) Classes.In addition, add on courses in fruit processing, yoga and mental health, sports medicine, spoken english, data care management, communication skills, Spoken English, Fashion Designing, Agriculture Waste management, Insurance and personality development have also been introduced from this session.The college is headed by a highly energetic, dynamic and dedicated Principal, Dr. Hardiljit Singh Gosal who also the fellow of Panjab University Senate and Synidic. The College has minetean anded posts of Inlified teachers out of which three are Ph.D's and five M.Phil's The college is developing by leaps and hounds under the able guidance of Trustee.S. Pritpal Singh Grewal( Chairman Trust), S. Jagpal Singh Khangura (President) and S. Balbir Singh (S.E Retd.,secretary), S.Gurjit Singh (Vice - Chairman), Prof. Gurnam Singh Grewal (Joint Secretary), S.Manmohan Singh Mohni (Joint Secretary).
Library: A library is the heart of an educational Institution. Our Library is almost the heart of this The college has a well-equipped library occupying the almost 5000 sq. feet of college building.The library hall is two floor building, a office cum stock room on one side and spacious library reading hall on second side. The books are issued to the students on production of their library cards and the identity card as per the library rules.The college Library is presently having over 1,00,000 books on various streams like arts, commerce, science courses.The library has a large hall with accommodation for 150 students with necessary infrastructure for its use as a reading room.The College subscribes to almost all the national dailies, local newspapers, weeklies and magazines. These are readily available for the use of the students.Newspapers are available at the separate newspaper stand; magazines and weeklies are available against production of their identity cards.
