This college Nilamani Mahavidyalaya, Rupsa, Balasore was established in the year 1976 under the society Registration Act. 1860, located under Sadar Block Of Balasore District of Odisha.In 1976 a handful of local people of remote village like Rupsa assemble together to establish a college to fulfill the needs of the poor & meritorious students of that Rural area, iron will & farm resolution of the local people with untiring support of Sj Nilamani Routray the then chief minister of Odisha, rendered it possible to establish the college on 5th August 1976 under the society registration act 1860.It impacts education in arts & science facility having honours teaching facilities in several subjects. The college has established itself as a nerve center of vigorous educational activities in the district. In future it will be able to create new milestones in the field of education.
Library: The College has a well-stocked library with a wide ranging books and journals. The books are perio- dically updated with latest editions. The College library has large number of books and journals. All books and journals have been computerized. As a result, the stock of books and journals and their easy availability is realized. Attached to the library, a reading room accommodating about 50 students which is used for reference purpose.
Laborartory: The college has wide equipped Laboratories in department of Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology with adequate number of demonstrator,storekeeper and attendants to assist the students for conducting practicals.
Computer Lab: A Computer Laboratory with 15 Computers has been installed for +2 and +3 stream.It offers a basic learning four set in computer science to the students for their better career prospects.
Health Center: The college has a health centre where the students get their health checked-up periodically by a qualified doctor. Medicines are readily available for students who get injuries and succumb to any ailment.
Auditorium: The college has an auditorium which has a sitting capacity of 300. Debate, Discussions, Cultural programs, seminars and important meeting are regularly conducted in this auditorium.
Hostel Facility
Hostel Facilities Available: One recognized hostel for boys and one for girls with total capacity of 60 are provided for students coming from par off place. Hostels are well furnished and equipped with all minimum facilities for inmates.
