The Institute of Cooperative Management (ICM), Imphal was established in 1988, which is one of the 19(nineteen) such institutes in India under the aegis of the National Council for Co-Operative Training (NCCT) , registered society under Societies Registration Act 1860 ,promoted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Government of India.he Institute of Co-Operative Management (ICM), Imphal is one of the nineteen such institutes in the country and functions under the over all control of the National Council for Co-Operative Training (NCCT) ,registered society under Societies Registration Act 1860 ,promoted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Government of India.
Library: The library of the Institute is well furnished and it possesses over 15,000 books on various areas like, cooperation, business management, human resource management, marketing, consumer, economics, accounts & finance, audit, banking, operations research, project planning & management, rural development, entrepreneurship, computer, insurance, tourism etc. Besides, the library has more than 200 management based video cassettes. It also subscribes 12 news paper (English, Hindi & Manipuri), 65 journals and 15 magazines.
Computer Lab: The Institute has a well equipped computer Lab with 83 PCs of latest technology to facilitate excellence in IT based training programmes. This Institute has acquired various Operating Systems like- MS-DOS, LINUX and different Windows O.S. and various Softwares and packages like Visual Studio, Basic, Cobol, C, Foxpro, MS-Office (upto XP), Tally 9.1, Pagemaker 7 etc. Internet connection is available in the lab.
Class Room: There are 4(four) class rooms, one Seminar Hall which are well furnished with all modern teaching aids including video projector, overhead projector, digital projector, digital video camera, computer, slide projector, T.V., video cassette player, audio cassette player etc.To make the training programmes useful and purposive for developing skills and attitudes, maximum opportunities are provided to the participants for ensuring effective participatory learning.
