Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College (SREC), Coimbatore established in the year 1994 by SNR Sons Charitable Trust is one of the 17 institutions managed by the trust. SREC is an autonomous institution offering 9 Undergraduate programmes in the disciplines of Aeronautical, Biomedical, Civil, Mechanical, Electronics and Communication, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics and Instrumentation, Information Technology and Computer Science and Engineering. The institution offers nine Post Graduate programmes in Engineering and Technology with specializations of Software Engineering, Power Electronics and Drives, Manufacturing Engineering, VLSI Design, Computer Science and Engineering , Embedded System Technologies, Control and Instrumentation Engineering, Thermal Engineering and Nanoscience and Technology, in addition to MBA.
Library: The new Library block is located in an easily accessible area near the Administrative Block, Laboratories, Placement Cell and Class Rooms. Total area of the Library is 23142 Sq.feet (2150 Sq.M.).
Transport Facilities: The college has a fleet of 30 buses that ply from vantage points in and around Coimbatore to the campus and back to facilitate comfortable commuting for both students and staff. The buses are manned by drivers who are well trained and experienced in safe driving practices.
Health Care: A fully functional health centre with a residential doctor is in place to offer medical care for minor ailments and first aid. In case of emergency, students will be taken to Sri Ramakrishna Hospital for treatment through standby ambulance service that is available 24/7.
Hostel Facility
Hostel Facilities Available: Fully functional separate hostel facilities are available for male and female students with the capacity of 2300. Each hostel is facilitated with 24X7 water and regularly maintained water purifiers for drinking water. Powered with 100 KW backup generators for uninterrupted Power supply.
