Salesian College of Higher education is an institution with a uniqueness. In the first place, it caters to the education of students hailing from more than 30 ethnic groups of Nagaland, Assam, Manipur, Arunachal, Meghalaya, Mizoram, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala. They are given all the facilities for their intellectual formation. But that is not all, here, we should say, they get an all round formation. Besides covering the syllabus given by the Nagaland University, they take part in all sorts of co-curricular activities. They make themselves proficient in games like foot-ball, basket-ball and volley ball. They give attention to the preservation of their culture by putting up cultural dance; dramas and other interesting features of their culture.
Library: The college is well equipped with library having nearly 35 thousand books. It is a reference cum lending library. It remains open for consultation/reference and lending from 9 am to 3 pm. The library is being automated with Library software. It is under CCTV surveillance. The library also has a documentation section where Newspapers, Magazines, Journals etc. are bound and preserved for further reference and consultation. The students are also provided with internet facility for e-learning activities.
