Sundargarh Engineering College, Sundargarh (KIREI) started in the year 2007 is one of the premier Technical Institution in the Western Orissa managed by the Institute of Technical Training a society registered under SR act for the development of Technical Education. It offers 4 years B.Tech courses in different Engineering branches with the approval of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi, recognized by Government of Orissa and affiliated to Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT) Rourkela.
Library: The Institute has well furnished specious Library consisting of more than 12000 texts and Reference books. The Institute also provides fully air-conditioned Reading room facilities well furnished with 25 computer terminals having internet connectivity for download finest collections in the field of science and technology including leading national and international journals and magazines available in the net.
Laboratory: The well equipped, spacious laboratories & workshops are designed and setup as per the norms of AICTE with an aim to provide every student the scope to critically examine the theoretical aspects and to develop the required skills. The Physics Lab, Chemistry Lab and different Laboratories of all the Departments are well equipped with modern and sophisticated gadgets. The internet laboratories enjoy connectivity through VSAT which is being upgraded to achieve a student-system ratio of 1:2, with 120 P-IV systems in 4 numbers of Computer Lab.
Transportation: The Institute has number of buses for the smooth transportation of the day scholars, boarders, and faculty at a nominal charge.
Hostel Facility
Hostel Facilities Available: The Institute has 2 Hostels for Girls students inside the Campus and 2 Hostels for Boys Students with modern amenities. The hostels have fulltime Superintendents and Wardens to look after the day-to-day activities. Training and Placement Cell: The Institute has a full-fledged Training and Placement Cell managed by experienced professional & consultants. Firms of repute like RSP , OCL, BHUSAN, MCL , VEDANT, APOLLO TYRES, MARUTI UDYOG, HARI MACHINES etc. are in channel for Campus Interview. The Cell regularly conducts training sessions to prepare the students for face the Campus selection process.
