Prasanna polytechnic was established in 2006 to provide technical education in various fields of engineering. The Industrial Scenario of the District is growing rapidly, to meet the technical realm such as IT,BT industries. It caters three years diploma programme.The polytechnic is an unaided self financing institution recognized by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to Department of Technical Education (D.T.E.), Govt. of Karnataka. The diploma certificates are awarded to department of technical Examination (B.T.E.), Govt. of Karnataka and recognized in India and aboard.This institution newly constructed and existed in laila with all the innovative staturgies having 25 acres of land. All modern facilities will be provided in the campus which including multistoried buildings with well furnished class rooms and drawing halls, laboratories with latest equipments as per the AICT norms, computer section, workshops, libraries etc. separate Hostels for boys and girls, canteen, co-operative stores will be provided within the campus.

Hostel Facilities Available: Separate hostel facility is available for outstation boys and girls. Hygienic vegetarian food is served to the inmates of the hostels.
