Utkal Institute of Engineering & Technology (UIET) is established by Chheta Devi Educational and Charitable Trust to cultivate and promote the education in the State of meet the need of technical man power for nation building. Dedicated efforts have been taken to make Institute a sine-equa-non amidst its co-institutions with in the state. The institute is spreaded over an area of Ac 5.040 decimal at mouza Rathipur, Po: Kantia, Jatni, Bhubaneswar having all pre requisites to cadre the need of its students. Situated in a greenish and silent atmosphere, the Institutional area speculates a separate reading atmosphere where a student becomes self hypnotized to studies.
Campus: UIET has been established in an area of Ac 5.0404 decimals. The campus accomplishes with the laboratories, workshop to satisfy the practical needs of the students. An inmate of UIET team has the prosperity of the feelings of independence, self dependence, self actualization with in the Campus.
Computer And Internet Facility: UIET has advanced internet Lab with advanced technology set up. It has LAN network with over forty terminals.The college has 24 hours leased line 10mbps internet connectivity of BSNL. All the technical departments are networked with LAN/WAN connecting all the labs, staff rooms and the library. The Network Operations Centre is equipped with IBM server. Ample computing facilities are provided linking each student with a PC. There are more than 200 computers with latest configuration in all the labs.
Library: The Library is equiped with a Library automation Software. A source of unlimited knowledge and information for students ever enthusiastic about learning is inside the UIET library, with space to accommodate many students at the same time. A powerhouse in itself, it is the place most frequented by students. UIET has a well-stocked, library with a vast collection of more than 10000 text Books as well as reference books written by well known Indian & foreign authors on Engineering and other subjects, reference books, CDs. More than 500 titles of text are available in the library apart from that 20 periodicals (journals & magazines) are subscribed regularly in order to keep pace with information on the latest developments in the world. The library provides computerized information as per the requirements.
Transport: UIET occupied 2 furnished buses which caters to the transport needs of students, staff and visiting guests and provides links from campus to Bhubaneswar, Khurda, Jatni etc.
Canteen: UIET occupied 2 furnished buses which caters to the transport needs of students, staff and visiting guests and provides links from campus to Bhubaneswar, Khurda, Jatni etc.
Auditorium: UIET occupied 2 furnished buses which caters to the transport needs of students, staff and visiting guests and provides links from campus to Bhubaneswar, Khurda, Jatni etc.
Sports Facility: Sports is the best way to provide good health and physically fit for everyone. For this purpose UIET built up a Sports Complex, functioning to ensure the needs of sports activities for the students and staff members. A large playground is ready in the campus for Basketball,Football,Hokey,Cricket and other Indian games. The Institute provides coaching facility for the above games. A beautiful swimming pool is in under construction for offing to cater to the needs of the students.
Hostel Facility
Hostel Facilities Available: There is a separate hostel for girls, situated within the campus and the boys’ hostel located near the college campus. The rooms are spacious, well furnished, self contained and duly maintained. It also has the unique telecom facility for incoming calls only. There are however, a set of rules and regulations that have to be strictly adhered to. The hostel has bed, table, chair and electrical fittings with 24-hour water supply Several newspapers as well as magazines are subscribed and TV is also provided to get them relaxed during leisure and also to get themselves updated. The Computer Centre and Library are kept open for residents of the hostel.
