ShankaraGowda College of Education is the academic offshoot of People’s Education Society and was established in 1974. It is located in the P.E.S. College of Engineering Campus., a place renowned as a Centre of Educational Institutions where academic facilities are given right from Secondary School up to research studies in various branches of Humanities, Science and Technology. It is a campus of beauty, of lush green gardens, nestled in an atmosphere of cool, hygienic breeze. The college is situated(near Bannur Road) at Mandya, popularly known as “Sakkare Nagara”(Sugar City), in between Bangalore and Mysore at a distance of 100 km from Bangalore and 45 km from Mysore. It is one of the Pioneer teacher education institutions in Karnataka.
Computer Laboratory: Computer Laboratory The students are very well satisfied as the college computer laboratory is well equipped with 50 computers in a LAN and having Broad Brand Internet connectivity, 4 Printers, 2 Xerox machines and 3 Scanners. It allows free access to faculties and students to acquaint themselves with the latest Information Technology. Besides this, the lab has access to Internet, e-mail, Multimedia Software etc. with a staff appointed for maintenance and repair of Computers.
Library: The College has well equipped Library with more than 14000 Books. Which is helping our faculty and students in enhancing the reference skills.
Laboratory: The College has Science, ICT and Language Laboratory with adequate equipments to cater to the present day Practical needs of the students.
Class Rooms: All the Class rooms are Spacious and well ventilated and provided with Smart Boards, Proper seating arrangements.
Sports Facilities: There is well maintained Hand Ball Court, Volley Ball Court, Throw Ball court and other Sports Equipments helping students in their all round development.
