It is just over a few years now, when some eminent personalities had gathered together for a discussion with a purpose which soon caught up the idea to use their resources to form an organization which cater to the growing needs of the public in the Educational field. Feverish consultations took place on the following few days. Other meaningful friends were roped in to accepting the idea and Trust was Established.As per the registered deed the objectives of the Trust are:To introduce any possible improvement in the system of education in its institutions from time to time.To undertake and carry out any step calculated to promote the cause of education.To promote educational, cultural and welfare activities and to acquire property and buildings for promotion of the objectives stated above.Majority of the founding members strived hard with a missionary zeal. They started meeting people and explained the loadable ideas of the organization, and enlisted the support of a large number of people. Friends and relatives joined in and the number of life members thus increased.
Classroom: The Institute has spacious architecturally designed lecture and tutorial rooms, airy and electric gadgets, glossy chalkboards and flannel boards all intact, furnished with adequate modern furniture.
Library: Bhai Surender Kumar Memorial College of Education has a well established library which caters to the need of the students, research scholars and the faculty. The library functions on an open access system for the faculty members and the research scholars. It has a collection of resource material in the form of CDs, audio visual aids, training movies, and e-books etc. This collection is expanded and updated each year. A combination of online and offline information resources are offered and designed to provide a holistic and comprehensive service. The library offers photocopying facilities too. There is a computer based catalogue system that provides information on the availability of books, journals and other material. The library aims to stock all the books and periodicals which the students are required to read while studying at the college.
Sports : In order to keep our young talents full of life and vigour, we encourage and organize lots of sports activity in the college. The list includes cricket, football, badminton, softball and many more. The institute organizes sports events every year for the students. We believe in healthy hearts and strong minds.
Health & Welfare: The College has a medical room with all facilities under the care of a full time nurse and a qualified medical officer.
Counseling: A full time well-qualified Counselor is available to look into the psychological problems.
Transport: The College has a proper network of this facility. Problems of any kind can be sorted out with the help of Transport In charge.
Placement Service Available: Training and placement cell in the institution play an important role. It strives to organize relevant training to students & staff, it has been working diligently to secure final placement for student in the past years.
