With this viewpoint, the Department of Biochemistry was established with the inception of the under graduate program in 1999 in amalgamation with Zoology and Microbiology. With an objective to equip and empower the students with job potential and self employment, the UGC sponsored Add-on course in Clinical Biochemistry was launched in 2005.To open up new vistas in the fast emerging areas of Biochemistry and to develop knowledge in the advanced areas of Biochemistry, the Post graduate program in Biochemistry was introduced in 2006.
