The Department of Chemistry at mLAC was established in the year 1973 with only three students who were pursuing a degree in Chemistry, Botany and Zoology (CBZ). The Department has grown steadily and now offers courses with combinations such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM); Chemistry, Botany, Zoology (CBZ); Chemistry, Botany, Biotechnology (CBBt) and Chemistry, Zoology, Biotechnology (CZBt). This Department strives for excellence in creating, applying, and imparting knowledge in Chemistry through continuous comprehensive evaluation programmes to aid the success of students in the global market. The Department hosts an extremely stimulating, productive, and friendly environment through classrooms and laboratory spaces; audiovisual infrastructure and consistent teaching support. It enables both faculty and students to reach their highest competency. The Department promotes collaborative research through several MOUs with Research Institutes and Industries.
