Education aims at imparting knowledge, harmonious development of the personality as well as creating an awareness, which should make him/her a responsible citizen of the country and useful member of society. Looking into such a dire need of women education, this college was set up by SES in 1970.Chandan Mal Karnani National Post Graduate College for, Sirsa which is popularly called as C.M.K National PG Girls College, is a very prestigious institution of higher learning for women which was established in 1970 in a very small building with in a meager strength of just 200 students.It was started with the large contribution of Seth Suraj Kumar Karnani in the name of his late revered father Sh Chandan Mal Karnani. During its long of 39 years, it has attained many milestones of success and proved highly beneficial for the students from the rural background also and they feel immensely confident by attaining education in such a reputed college like ours. Presently we have 1211 students on our roll who are setting education in various streams according to their aptitude and taste.
Library: CMK College came into existence in 1970. The magnificent college library is located in the center of the campus in an exclusive building designed for the purpose. The library comprises following sections: Reading rooms, Research Room, IT zone, periodical and reference section etc. Together, all the sections of our library display a rich collection of more than 28,000 books and 40 periodicals/ magazines. INFLIBNET and DELNET facility is also available in the library. The Library provides a book-bank facility too for lending text books to needy and deserving students for whole academic session. Internet facility is now available for students inside the library premises itself.
Classroom: The College has spacious architecturally designed lecture and tutorial rooms, airy and electric gadgets, glossy chalkboards and flannel boards all intact, furnished with adequate modern furniture.
Lab Facility: Separate fully equipped and spacious Practical Science Labs for Physics, Chemistry, Computer Sci. Instrumentation, Electronics, Bio-Technology, Botany, Zoology, Language, Geography & Defence Studies are provided to the students and staff to develop their manipulative skills, as we believe in the cardinal principle of `Learning by doing'.
Sports FAcility: In order to keep our young talents full of life and vigour, we encourage and organize lots of sports activity in the college. The list includes cricket, football, badminton, Hockey and many more. The institute organizes sports events every year for the students. We believe in healthy hearts and strong minds.
Hostel Facility
Hostel Facilities Available: Hostel is a home away from home for the hostlers. Full efforts are made to provide the students all the facilities as they avail in their home. Time to time celebration of all the important festivals in the hostel keep the students in a cheerful mood. Along with this a healthy environment is provided to them in which they can study and become successful persons in their life. All the modern facilities are provided to them and full efforts are made to provide them even more than what they are getting today.
