Alva’s College of Physical Education is a Unit of Alva’s Education Foundation, was established in the year 2005. It is affiliated to Mangalore University and is a unique educational institution that represents the academic and cultural character of AEF. Our college offers a Bachelor of Physical Education and a degree in Master in Physical Education. Our college comprises of a well committed teaching faculty, with spacious classrooms, 400mtrs track, Foot ball Court, Volley ball Court, Kho-Kho Court, Throw ball Court, Cricket pitches and a well equipped gymnasium, meritorious Sports persons are given merit seats in our college and an opportunity to participate at various tournaments. Our students gain rich experience in officiating and conducting various Intramural competitions, District level, State level and National level tournaments. Alva’s Ekalavya is a pride and prestige Athletic Meet conducted by AEF annually.
Library: Alva’s College of Physical Education library is equipped to meet essential academic and intellectual needs of its students, and college library has well equipped with ample sitting arrangements for students and staffs. The library has good number of Books, Periodicals, Journals, magazines and Encyclopaedias related to Physical Education and Sports. The Alva’s college of Physical Education library has over 3500 books, 7 Journals and 94 Encyclopaedias.
Transport: Transports facilities are available for daily communication between college and play grounds. The college also provides transport facilities as per special needs of all students whenever required
Computer Lab:The College has fully equipped computerised lab for the students. Around 30 number of computers are allotted for students for practical purposes. Specialised staffs take up practical as well as theory classes for the students.
Anatomy And Physiology Lab: Alva’s College of Physical Education has a well-equipped Anatomy and Physiology lab with consist of various charts, models, & various DVD’s related to Anatomy and Physiology. the foundation also has a well-equipped Anatomy Museum. which has well equipped anatomy essentials for the students.
Hostel Facility
Hostel Facilities Available: Alva’s College of Physical Education has provides excellent hostel facilities for girls and boys with 24 hours uninterrupted power and water supply. All the hostels are well maintained and supervised by the wardens. Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited in the hostel and legal action would be taken against such students who indulge in such activities. The rules and regulations of the hostel have to be followed strictly.
