Solamalai College of Engineering is affiliated with Anna University, Chennai, and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The college offers seven undergraduate programs and four postgraduate programs. It achieved a 3.5-star rating in IIC 4.0 for the year 2021-2022 and was recognized in the "Promising" category under "Colleges/Institutes (Private/Self-financed)(Technical)" in the Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovations Achievement (ARIIA) 2021.
