Ali Yavar Jung National Institute for the Hearing Handicapped (AYJNIHH) was established on 9th August 1983. It is an autonomous organisation under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, New Delhi.
Hostel Facility
Hostel: The Institute provides hostel accommodation on payment to a limited number of outstation candidates, both at Mumbai and the Regional Centers. A cot, study table and chairs are provided in the hostel rooms. Hostel Wardens are available to assist the students and to maintain discipline. Hostel is allotted on first-cum-first served basis.
Placement Cell: Though it is not the responsibility of the Institute to provide jobs to students, the Institute has a Placement cell that attempts to bring together students who are in the process of completing their studies and organizations looking to employ audiologists, speech pathologists and educators. Students may find it helpful to enroll themselves with the Placement Cell.
