Government College of Pharmacy is located on a beautiful sprawling campus of an eight acres near the bank of Krishna-Koyana river at Karad. Being the first Government Institution in Maharashtra, it has always experienced a distinguished identity among the other colleges. Affiliated to Shivaji University, Kolhapur, the college is approved by All India Council for Technical Education New Delhi, Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi and Directorate of Technical Education, Maharshtra State, Mumbai. Right from the inception with the establishment of tiny department in the Government College of Engineering, Karad in 1964 to offer diploma course in Pharmacy, the college transformed into the post graduate research institute in pharmacy in 1995 with an independent existence.
Computer lab: The Computer labs with high seeped internet connectivity (4 MBPS leased line) with 30 computers connected in one network.
classroom: All classrooms are well ventilated and equipped with the latest audiovisual facilities, LCDs, backup supply facilities with state-of-the-art technology
Auditorium: The in-house facilities include a 200 - seated modern auditorium, a conference / seminar hall.
Gymkhana: Gymkhana plays pivotal role in overall development of students. It gives platform to showcase their sports and cultural talents.
Medicinal Plant Garden: The College has a well-maintained Medicinal Plant Garden (Dhanwantari). It has hundreds of different varieties of medicinal plants tagged with their biological nomenclature.
Library: There are large number of national and international journals, magazines and back volumes. These are procured in order to keep the students and teachers abreast of the ongoing research findings in the different fields of knowledge.
Hostel Facility
Government College of Pharmacy Karad has Two Boys Hostels namely, "Block A" and "Block B" in college campus with intake of 100 students. Block A has 4 Floors, 22 Rooms while block B has 2 floors and 12 Rooms. Waiting Area on each floor and a lot of space for study also. Ragging is strictly prohibited in Hostels.
