This seat of higher learning came into existence on August 26, 1975, vide Government of Uttar Pradesh Notification No. 10/15-60/74 under the provision of the U.P. Library: The Central Library of the University is equipped with quality books, journals and magazines of national and international level. Departments running professional and specialized courses like Management, Engineering, Law, Mass Communication and Journalism, Pharmacy, Forensic Sciences, Rehabilitation Science, Education and Physical Education are being provided with departmental library with quality books and computer labs.
Sports Facilities: The University has a huge sports ground, an indoor stadium and a gymnasium on campus to promote students' interest in sports.The Sports Department of the University informs the students about various events and schemes at state, regional and national level and facilitates their participation. The students are relieved to attend sports events from the classes and due credit is given at the time of calculation of their attendance.
