Chemistry / Bio-technology / Computer Science / Electronics / Biology in thier Pre-university or 12th standard or equivalent examinations recognised by the V.T.U.
Candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBC the minimum marks for purpose of eligibility shall be 40%.
Diploma candidates who have secured not less than 45% marks in the final year examination are also eligible. (For ST /SC / OBC candidates it is 40%)

Candidates who have passed Bachelors Degree examinations in Arts, Science, Commerce, BBM, Law, HRD or any other Course conducted by the Mangalore University or its equivalent thereto approved by the Mangalore University with a minimum of 45% marks in optionals and 40% marks in the case of SC/ST candidates.
