IIITM-K is set up as a premier institute with a strong postgraduate school that offers Masters and Ph.D. programs. IIITM-K aims to be a multidisciplinary premier postgraduate institute conforming to the needs of building capacity at advanced levels of Informatics and IT enabled Community Services and Empowerment Systems for meeting the emerging requirements of knowledge driven economy and society. The areas of focus will be in developing and applying IT in the Social Sector and for furthering Science and Technology. IIITM-K’s offerings focus in the following four interdisciplinary areas. Postgraduate and doctoral programmes are conducted through the respective Schools established in the Institute. M.Sc. Computer Science | M.Sc. Geoinformatics | M.Sc. IT | Post Graduate Diploma in E-Governance | Post Graduate Diploma in Information Technology (PGDIT)

1 .	M.Sc. Computer Science
	Eligibility Bachelor's Degree in any branch of Engineering or Technology / Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, or Information Technology / Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or Statistics with Mathematics as a subject of study, with a minimum score of 60% or CGPA of 6.5 in 10 point scale , in the qualifying examination. Candidates who are studying in the final year degree course and have yet to pass the final year degree examination can also apply.
	Duration 2 years
	Other Details Courses : Master of Science in Computer Science with specialization in Data Analytics Master of Science in Computer Science with specialization in Cyber Security Master of Science in Computer Science with specialization in Machine Intelligence Master of Science in Computer Science with specialization in Geospatial Analytics

2 .	M.Sc. Geoinformatics
	Eligibility Bachelor's Degree in any Science/Engineering/Technology branch with Mathematics / Geology /Geography as one of the subjects of study in that course, with a score of 60 % marks or above or CGPA of 6.5 or above in 10 points scale in the qualifying examination. SC/ST candidates are eligible for admission, if they have minimum pass marks in the qualifying examination. Students who are in final semester / year and appearing for the exams shortly can also apply

	Admission Procedure Students shall be selected through an entrance examination conducted by Institute under the supervision of CUSAT for both Basic Sciences and general aptitude. Reservation of seats for SC/ST, OBC. is applicable as per government rules. The final selection of the candidates is done through an interview from the short listed candidates of written test

3 .	M.Sc. IT
	Eligibility Bachelor's Degree in any branch of Engineering or Technology / Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, or Information Technology / Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or Statistics with Mathematics as a subject of study, with a minimum score of 60% or CGPA of 6.5 in 10 point scale in the qualifying examination. SC/ST candidates are eligible for admission, if they have minimum pass marks in the qualifying examination.
	Duration 2 years

4 .	Post Graduate Diploma in E-Governance
	Eligibility Entry-level requirement for the programme is a Bachelors degree in any discipline with working knowledge of computer systems. Diploma / Certification in computer application will be an added advantage. Preference will be given to B.Tech / MBA / MCA degree holders.
	Duration 1 year
	Admission Procedure Eligible candidates from open category are selected through all India competitive entrance examination

5 .	Post Graduate Diploma in Information Technology (PGDIT)
	Eligibility Bachelor's degree in any branch of Engineering/ Technology or Master's Degree in Computer Applications (MCA) or M.Sc. (Computer Science / IT / Applied Electronics) with a minimum score of 60% marks in the qualifying examination.. Candidates who are doing the final year degree courses may also apply.
	Duration 2 years
	Admission Procedure selection of the candidates is based on an interview of the candidates who qualify in the entrance test to be held at Thiruvananthapuram
